Singapore and Malaysia can be enjoyed individually, together or in conjunction with a longer tour to Australia and/or New Zealand. As with a good deal of South East Asia, you are assured of a really warm welcome for your school hockey tour.
Malaysia gives you beauty and the beach. It also gives you mountains, coral, tea plantations, elephants and orang-utans. Singapore has civilisation written all over it and is synonymous with Raffles hotel. It also has thrills: you can bungee here, visit Underwater World, with its vast collection of sharks, or take a night safari.
Our recommendation would be to build in these destinations en route to Australia and/or New Zealand. It's the perfect way to split the journey but, more than that, these destinations are rewarding in themselves. These countries are an enticing introduction to South East Asia with everything that means: great weather, breathtaking scenery, amazing service, beautiful people, wonderful food and a flavour of the exotic.
